We are an Architectural practice that is continuously pursuing a strong design philosophy emanating from an understanding of the client’s brief, context, construction and implementation. We see design as a unique opportunity to make a positive contribution to the built and natural environment; by taking the client’s brief and collaboratively creating spaces for all users to enjoy. We are continuously exploring aspects of low energy design and construction. Where practical, we always encourage the use of natural materials and improved fabric standards aiming for long-term durability, low maintenance and low energy consumption throughout the life of the building. In 2007 the practice achieved a commendation for the British Homes Awards endorsed by the BRE (Building Research Establishment), RIBA and NHBC to explore and design a prototype low-energy home. The project was published in a book ‘Design. The key to a better place’ in 2007.
